This is my sometime place of work and the number one place to eat out in Wollongong if I do say so myself. And I’m not being biased, nor am I exaggerating, when I say that everything on the menu is totally and amazingly delicious. No: I’m just speaking from practical experience.
From the Thai style omelette with slow cooked pork belly, caramel dressing and oodles of fresh herbs and the inimitable Reuben-on-rye with homemade pastrami and homemade sauerkraut to the rotating array of desserts that includes such delights as Eton mess with strawberries and cream, pecan treacle tart and cinnamon brioche scrolls… everything is so so good!
On top of it all the atmosphere is really great: gorgeous people, eclectic decor (including a shelf full of cookbooks for inspiration) and, last but not least, fabulously strong coffee.
If you’re ever in town it’s at 2/363 Crown St, Wollongong (up near the hospital).
